Ekaterina Ananyeva

Bio:

Ekaterina Ananyeva is a PhD student at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. Currently she is on a research stay at the University of Vienna. Her project there focuses on the role of Russia in Central Asia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as the first institution established by rising powers. She was also a temporary lecturer at Anglo-American University in Prague where she taught the course on Russian foreign policy. Her dissertation is devoted to Russia as a rising power in multilateral institutions, how and why Moscow chooses them. In her research she focuses on the role of Russia in global governance and its representation in international organizations.
