Eduardo Pastrana Buelvas

Bio:

Eduardo Pastrana Buelvas has a doctorate degree in International Law from the University of Leipzig, Germany, and is a Lawyer from the Universidad Santiago de Cali (USC), Colombia. He was Vice-Chancellor and Director for Research at USC. Currently he is a Professor of International Relations and International Law at the Pontifical Xaverian University in Bogot√° (PUJB). He is also heading the research group of International Relations, Latin America and Integration (GRIALI). Eduardo advises the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in Colombia and the Military Academy of Warfare of the Colombian Armed Forces. He is a member of the Academic Committee of the Regional Think tank of Economic and Social Research (CRIES) and Coordinator of the Network of Studies on the Pacific Alliance from the Konrad Adenauer Centre of International Relations and Security Studies (KACIRSS). He has regularly been invited as a Research Professor by the Institute of Political Sciences of University of Leipzig, and by the German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg. He has published numerous books and articles on topics of International Law and International Relations. He is a member of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) and the International Studies Association (ISA). He is a member of the Latin American Political Science Association (ALACIP).
